Green Peppers

Green Bell Peppers are often a staple ingredient in many dishes. The Bell Pepper is also referred to as a sweet pepper in other regions. It is significantly lower in capsaicin, a measurement of spiciness, in Scoville Heat Units (SHU) than other chili peppers. Depending on the variety, Bell Peppers generally fall between 0-300 SHU, whereas the Jalapeno Pepper is between 4000-8000, compared to the Cayenne Pepper which can be up to 50,000 SHU.

Like the majority of the produce we grow, these are an organic seed variety and are grown in a natural manner, free from synthetic fertilizers, harmful chemicals and GMO free.

These Green Bell Peppers will ripen to a Red Bell Pepper or a Yellow Bell Pepper depending on the variety, although once picked they generally stay green.

Bell peppers are sold individually, with each pepper having an approximate weight of 227g (1/2 lb).
