To prevent the spread of harmful pests and invasive species, it is very important to use local firewood. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency works to limit the movement of firewood to prevent the spread of invasive species, such as the Emerald Ash Borer, Gypsy Moth, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, and Dutch Elm Disease. These species are already causing devastating losses to our forests.
All of Southern Ontario and Southern Quebec are within the regulated areas for firewood transport, meaning that is is prohibited by law to transport firewood. More information can be found on the CFIA website. Help protect our forests. Buy local. Burn local.
Our Firewood is 100% hardwood and bagged in reusable bags. There is generally 8 large pieces to a bag. Please return our firewood packaging when you are done!
